In 1955, at the age of eight months old Anna was relocated from Inukjuak to Resolute Bay with her parents; Levi and Alacee Nungaq and her siblings.

I’m Anna Levi Nungaq. They moved us. We were the second group, we were moved in 1955.”

“My mom is the one who… I remember her saying: « I want to go home, I want to go home. » She always wanted to go home. As soon as my dad had a stroke and couldn’t work anymore, they went straight down. Back home to Inukjuak. She’s home now.”
